Story Transcript:

Sl: Pod spomladanskim nebom, kjer so prve cvetlice že začele cveteti, je Mateja stopala po kamniti poti, ki je peljala do priljubljenega razgledišča nad Blejskim jezerom.
En: Under the spring sky, where the first flowers had already begun to bloom, Mateja walked along the stone path leading to the popular viewpoint above Bled Lake.

Sl: V rokah je nosila majhen košek s pirhi, v katerega je vložila veliko truda.
En: She carried a small basket with pirhi, into which she had put a lot of effort.

Sl: Barvali so ga z ljubeznijo in spomini na otroštvo, ko je z babico vsak Velikonočni praznik ustvarjala take pisanice.
En: They were dyed with love and memories of childhood, when she would make such colorful eggs with her grandmother every Easter.

Sl: Ko je prispela na vrh, jo je sprejelo čudovito razgled na jezero in otoček s cerkvico, vse obdano z mogočnimi gorami.
En: When she reached the top, she was greeted by the magnificent view of the lake and the small island with a church, all surrounded by mighty mountains.

Sl: Pogled ji je vzel dih, a ni bila tukaj samo zaradi razgleda.
En: The view took her breath away, but she wasn't there just for the scenery.

Sl: Mateja je v srcu nosila misel na Blaža, starega prijatelja, s katerim sta se pred leti veliko družila.
En: Mateja carried in her heart the thought of Blaž, an old friend with whom she had spent a lot of time years ago.

Sl: Preden se je preselila v Ljubljano, sta skupaj preživela nešteto trenutkov prav tu, na tem razglednem mestu.
En: Before she moved to Ljubljana, they had shared countless moments right here at this viewpoint.

Sl: Na klopici pod cvetočim drevesom je opazila Blaža.
En: On the bench under the blooming tree, she noticed Blaž.

Sl: Sedel je zamišljen, z rokami v žepih in pogledom usmerjenim v daljavo.
En: He sat thoughtfully, with his hands in his pockets and his gaze directed into the distance.

Sl: Ko se ji je približevala, se je ozrl in ko jo je zagledal, so se mu oči zaiskrile.
En: As she approached him, he turned and when he saw her, his eyes sparkled.

Sl: A na njegovem obrazu je bil tudi odtenek bolečine, ki ga Mateja ni mogla prezreti.
En: But on his face, there was also a hint of pain that Mateja couldn't ignore.

Sl: "Mateja! Nisem si mislil, da te bom spet videl tu," je rekel z mešanico presenečenja in radosti v glasu.
En: "Mateja! I didn't expect to see you here again," he said with a mix of surprise and joy in his voice.

Sl: "Tudi jaz sem vesela, da sem tukaj," je odvrnila in se usedla poleg njega.
En: "I'm also glad to be here," she replied and sat down next to him.

Sl: "Prišla sem domov za praznike... in da bi te videla."
En: "I came home for the holidays... and to see you."

Sl: Nekaj časa sta s skupnimi močmi premagovala tišino, poslušala petje ptic in šumenje vetra med drevesi.
En: For a while, they worked together to overcome the silence, listening to the birds' songs and the rustling of the wind among the trees.

Sl: Potem pa je Mateja zbrala pogum.
En: Then Mateja gathered the courage.

Sl: "Pogrešala sem te. In upam, da nisem edina," je rekla tiho.
En: "I've missed you. And I hope I'm not the only one," she said quietly.

Sl: Blaž je vzdihnil.
En: Blaž sighed.

Sl: "Mateja, moram ti nekaj povedati," je začel in njenega srce je zatrepetalo.
En: "Mateja, I have to tell you something," he began, and her heart fluttered.

Sl: "Zadnje čase sem imel nekaj težav. Odkrili so mi manjšo srčno težavo.
En: "Lately, I’ve had some problems. They discovered a minor heart issue.

Sl: Ni usodno, ampak... skrbi me."
En: It’s not fatal, but... it worries me."

Sl: Mateja je položila roko na njegovo.
En: Mateja placed her hand on his.

Sl: "Zakaj mi nisi nič rekel?" je vprašala s sočutjem.
En: "Why didn't you tell me anything?" she asked with compassion.

Sl: Blaž se je žalostno nasmehnil.
En: Blaž smiled sadly.

Sl: "Mislim, da sem se bal sprejeti pomoč.
En: "I think I was afraid to accept help.

Sl: Ni lahko priznati, da se bojiš."
En: It's not easy to admit you're scared."

Sl: "Skušnjava je, da bi bežala pred takimi stvarmi," je odgovorila Mateja.
En: "The temptation is to run away from such things," Mateja replied.

Sl: "Ampak jaz sem tu zdaj in, če dovoliš, bi rada bila tu zate."
En: "But I'm here now, and if you allow, I'd like to be here for you."

Sl: Oba sta se zavedala, kako pomemben je bil ta trenutek.
En: They both realized how important this moment was.

Sl: Izmenjala sta poglede, ki so povedali več kot besede.
En: They exchanged looks that said more than words.

Sl: Med njima se je spletla nova vez, močnejša od prej.
En: A new bond formed between them, stronger than before.

Sl: Na koncu sta se sprehodila po poti ob jezeru, obljubivši drug drugemu, da si bosta dajala moč, tako prijateljsko kot morda nekoč tudi ljubezensko.
En: In the end, they walked together along the path by the lake, promising each other to give each other strength, both as friends and perhaps one day also in love.

Sl: Prostost nad jezerom ni bila le v razgledu, ampak tudi v ljubezni, ki je našla pot naprej.
En: The freedom above the lake was not only in the view but also in the love that had found its way forward.

Sl: V vetru sta se slišali njuni srci, ki sta utripali z novim upanjem, in pomlad je obljubljala nove priložnosti.
En: In the wind, their hearts could be heard beating with new hope, and spring promised new opportunities.
