Sk: Marek sa zastavil pred dverami malej kaviarne v srdci Bratislavy.
En: Marek stopped in front of the door of a small café in the heart of Bratislava.

Sk: Bola jar a ulice mesta boli plné zelene a kvetov.
En: It was spring and the streets of the city were full of greenery and flowers.

Sk: Na chvíľu zaváhal.
En: He hesitated for a moment.

Sk: "Bude to tak, ako to bývalo?" pomyslel si.
En: "Will it be like it used to be?" he thought.

Sk: Vo vzduchu sa vznášala vôňa čerstvo praženej kávy a staré drevené stoly vnútri vyžarovali útulnosť.
En: The smell of freshly roasted coffee floated in the air, and the old wooden tables inside exuded coziness.

Sk: Marek si spomenul, ako tu sedával s Janou a Petrom počas univerzitných rokov, smiali sa a plánovali svet.

Sk: „Marek, je to už dlho,“ povedala Jana a jej oči žiarili pri pohľade na neho.
En: "Marek, it's been a long time," said Jana, her eyes gleaming as she looked at him.

Sk: „Áno, som rád, že ste prišli,“ odpovedal Marek s obchodom.
En: "Yes, I'm glad you came," Marek responded with sincerity.

Sk: Objednali si kávu, ako to bývalo zvykom.
En: They ordered coffee, as was their custom.

Sk: O chvíľu na nich dýchol čas cez šálky plné espressa.
En: In a moment, time breathed on them through cups full of espresso.

Sk: Začali sa rozprávať.
En: They began to talk.

Sk: Najskôr o práci, o živote.
En: At first about work, about life.

Sk: Všetko pôsobilo formálne, opatrne.
En: Everything seemed formal, cautious.

Sk: Ale potom, ako sa ruka prestala triasť a hlas zosilnel, sa zas dotkli tém, ktoré ich kedysi spájali.
En: But then, as the hand stopped trembling and the voice strengthened, they touched upon topics that once connected them.

Sk: „Marek, prečo si odišiel?“ opýtal sa Peter priamo, čo Mareka prekvapilo.
En: "Marek, why did you leave?" Peter asked directly, surprising Marek.

Sk: „Musel som... Skúsiť niečo nové. Ale teraz viem, že to nie je všetko,“ priznal Marek úprimne.
En: "I had to... try something new. But now I know it's not everything," admitted Marek honestly.

Sk: Zdá sa, že ich rozhovor začal naberať na intenzite.
En: It seemed their conversation began to gain intensity.

Sk: Jana sa pridala: „Vieš, bolo to zvláštne, keď si len tak zmizol.
En: Jana joined in: "You know, it was strange when you just disappeared.

Sk: Chýbal si nám.
En: We missed you.

Sk: Ale všetci sa meníme.“
En: But we all change."

Sk: Marek na chvíľu zotrval v tichu.

Sk: Cítil, že to bol ten bod, kedy musel sám sebe aj im priznať pravdu.

Sk: Napätie sa rozplynulo ako dym z kávy.
