Dr. Grin Lord is a board-certified licensed clinical psychologist and co-founder of mpathic - humanizing AI with empathy.She was a Clinical Product Psychologist at Youper.ai and the Chief Clinical Officer of Lyssn.io. Dr. Lord's areas of expertise include: conversational design, using AI and machine learning to augment human connection and improve therapy, evidence-based therapies (Motivational Interviewing, CBT, DBT), health coaching, and psychology. She also is the founder and Director of the Center for Relational and Family Therapy (CRAFT) in Bellevue, WA. Since 2007, Dr. Lord has worked as a clinician-researcher at University of Washington in the Department of Psychiatry and Behavioral Sciences. Her research and writing focuses on the intersection of AI and empathy, improving wellness, understanding evidence-based therapy, treatment of posttraumatic stress and substance abuse, the interpretation of the family, and the social meaning of trauma.
