Two rigid women walk into a rave.
Just kidding. We can't even agree on what a rave is.
We're talking about getting unstuck. Physically, mentally, emotionally, and apparently in the hips.
Some side notes: we debate the definition of fun, consider belly dancing as a personality adjustment, and somehow end up discussing grandpa candy, questionable 1980s Christmas recipes, and the trauma of the school lunch taco pizza.
Because apparently getting unstuck is a journey.
And nobody said we had to enjoy it.
There was a time when you left the house and no one knew where you were.
No GPS. No Uber. If your car broke down, you figured it out. If you got lost, you figured it out. If you told someone you’d meet them in front of Claire’s at 4:30, you showed up at 4:30.
Were we more capable then? Or just significantly harder to locate?
Casual mentions of: Italian cookies, calling collect, a Land Rover with no brakes, yoga, Adventures in Babysitting, and Kelly’s sudden need for a plug-in hybrid van.
We’ll figure it out.
Or not.
Somewhere between luck, karma, and accidentally stealing an $8 crystal ring, we came up with a theory.
We talk about karma, participation, scarcity, abundance, and why the energy you put into the world might matter more than you think.
Also: unicorn crystals, video game morality, and why apparently you have to play the game.
Love that for us.
We debate barbecue sauce, throw pillows, accent walls, little feet, and whether not caring is actually just another way of caring too much. Basically, it's forty minutes of accidentally profiling each other.
No life advice.
Just sibling damage.
This episode starts with aesthetics and somehow ends with biblically accurate angels...
Along the way we unpack why every personality seems to need a label now, why "looking like yourself" is harder than it should be, and why we're officially against treating your life like a Pinterest board.
Also discussed:
• clean girl aesthetic
• Come As You Are energy
• Kelly tell's the story of her Thief Summer Aesthetic
• socks with sandals
• and a little warmed corpse summer
Somewhere along the way, we stopped being regulars anywhere.
Now making friends requires leaving your house, talking to strangers, attending things repeatedly, and allowing other people to develop opinions about you.
Frankly, that feels like an unreasonable amount of work.
We talk about friendship, community, third spaces, why nobody knows how to make friends after 30, and the horrifying realization that if you want people to notice when you're gone, they first have to notice when you're there.
Also: haunted hotels, sister fights, Animal Crossing, Supernatural, and a brief reminder that we'd rather fight demons than make small talk.
As nature intended.
Open heart surgery, sound baths, mammogram trauma, nervous system healing, yoga grudges, and Kelly announces she may want to start doing pot.
So… a very normal episode of Related AF.
Somewhere between rise and grind and “protect your peace,” Hustle Culture, the girlboss startup era, went from motivational to mildly humiliating.
We talk about what actually happened… and the difference between real hustle and corporate nonsense.
And for the love of God… no buttholes at work.
We read conversation hearts.
Then we talk main character energy.
Then we decide Lynda had to go.
This is an episode about outgrowing certain versions of yourself — R.I.P Lynda.
Random questions. Real answers.
Toxic habits, wild confidence, and the things strangers at the gym do that absolutely do not need to happen.
From the publisher's feed
It started as two sisters talking out loud on the gym treadmills.
Related AF is where opinions get aired, ideas get poked, and nothing is rushed toward a takeaway. We talk…
No advice.
No alignment.
Just thinking out loud.
Pull up a chair.
We’re already mid-argument.
Stay if you want.
