Next week, the winter solstice is upon us, marking the shortest day and the longest night. Although this might not seem like a topic that relates to inner healing and deepening relationship intimacy, it is a potent time.

Let me explain. One of the main themes I share here — especially on ESSENCE — is that the more you know and understand yourself, the more connection and intimacy you are able to cultivate in your relationships.

This is because you cannot explain or communicate what you do not yet understand. Part of knowing yourself is knowing your ebbs and flows within your cyclical nature. Here, I talk a lot about the menstrual cycle as an intuitive guidance system and communication tool.
