Inner Ecology

Relationships + Rewilding with Mallika Bush

Listen Later

In this episode, Mallika Bush, founder of Rooted Relationships, and I explore strategies that help us relate well to ourselves, our friends and families, and the earth.

In probably my favorite bit we talk about how we need relationships with people who can hold our power and potential AND our vulnerabilities. Mallika also shares her experiences as a professional actor that schooled her in the deep listening skills she now uses as a licensed marriage and family therapist coaching women and couples. As someone who leads with Enneagram Type 4, Mallika brings depth and nuance to our conversation about the intersection between healing our inner emotional lives and supporting the revitalization of our ecosystems.

You can expect another Enneagram Interview + Resiliency Resource every few weeks (with a little break around the holidays).

I hope you will join me on this journey and follow Inner Ecology on Apple Podcast or Spotify (this helps me connect to more listeners.)

Meet Mallika Bush

Mallika is a licensed marriage and family therapist who offers coaching for women and couples. For over 20 years, Mallika has followed her own drive to heal which has led her to develop deep roots in yoga philosophy, clinical psychology, expressive arts, ancestral healing, nature as medicine and somatic wisdom. All of these rivers of knowledge feed the space she holds for others, creating a deeply rooted, experiential container for growth and healing. Plus below I share two of my favorite solution-oriented climate resources (I mention Saving Us in this episode):

Water is Love: Ripples of Regeneration Film (the only documentary about climate change that left me feeling hopeful and inspired. The animation about the water cycle is stunning.)

Saving Us: A Climate Scientist's Case for Hope and Healing in a Divided World by Katharine Hayhoe **I appreciate how she moves beyond politicized divisions and roots in shared values and respectful conversations.

I am launching this podcast in honor of Hurricane Helene survivors as we navigate the first year anniversary and as a fundraiser for two water-based nonprofits. I invite you to check out their work + consider joining me in making a donation of any size:
