June 06, 2020 Remembering Black Wall Street. With Rev. W.R. Casey Jr.
On May 31, 1921 a riot broke out in the Greenwood section of Tulsa, Oklahoma. Know as Black Wall Street, this section of Tulsa was destroyed when a white girl screamed, and a black boy was accused of raping her. This event set of a riot that lasted for 16 hours, leaving 300 blacks dead, 800 injured, and 18 whites were killed as well. The murder of George Floyd has sparked outrage in all across America, and in many cities people are showing that they stand for justice and justice now. On May 25th Mr. Floyd was murdered by four police officers, and one of the officers held his knee on George's neck for nine min. But, only one police officer was arrested for this murder, and the outrage from across the nation is do to the lack of more arrest.
