Barron Hanson is recognized as a teacher of Vedic knowledge by the Shankaracharya tradition in India.  Barron was living in New York in 2019 when the east coast of australia was devastated by the worst bushfires in its recorded history, impacting his hometown of nowra.  He returned to his hometown of Nowra in 2022 and established "be here nowra," a meditation center aimed at helping the community manage stress and improve their overall well-being.
