Listen Later

Why Robin Jax?
Robin founded Tiergarten Records in 2016 as a musician diagnosed with Asperger’s syndrome at the age of three. Tiergarten Records was originally launched to showcase his own music with his album Teardrop Girl-Star LP, released under his solo alias RobinPlaysChords which was the label’s first release. The mission of Tiergarten has now expanded to be a home for neurodiverse musicians of all backgrounds.
At Tiergarten, Robin manages artists in the UK and US and is also a performer with Spectra Arts Company as a singer and guitarist. He is also an Attitude is Everything (AiE) Next Stage Artist.
In this episode, Robin talks about:
How to manage the challenges of working with artists across the world in different time zones
What a label is looking for when searching for artists
How his business is supporting disabled artists with their musical career journey
Understanding neuro-diversity, how it fits into the music industry and wider society, now and in the future
The #weshallnotberemoved movement
