Matthew 6:16-18 (NLT)
Pastor Dave: So today we are going to dive in and unpack the next message in this series that I have titled, Hungry for More, focusing on the Sacred Habit of FASTING. I know the moment some of you heard the word fasting, you just turned off your ears, because no doubt fasting is one of the hardest sacred habits to do. But it is one of the most beautiful and beneficial sacred habits that brings spiritual growth to our lives. And in the next few moments I am going to unpack the question, why fast? And yes, I am going to key in on fasting food and have some other additional ways you can fast, again they are additions not a replacement from fasting food. 
Our main passage of scripture this morning will be Matthew 6:16-18.

I want to end this spiritual warfare series with a message I have titled, The War Within. You see one of the greatest battles we face in this life, is not with others, not with our circumstances, but truly the greatest battle we face is The War Within Ourselves.
