Religion on SermonAudio

the religion of the Catholic Church, at this day, is nothing but a dead image of the gospel, erected in the loss of an experience of its spiritual power, overthrowing its use, with all its ends, being suited to the taste of men, carnal, ignorant, and superstitious.

We are to put no confidence in any human works of righteousness. We put all our confidence in the finished work of Christ.

In part 2, we discuss what it means to be the children of God, and how that ought to affect us. We discuss the dangers of pride and the utter insufficiency of any religio-social affiliation to justify us in the sight of God. We continue our discussion of the difference in doctrine and tradition.
