The Rock, Mankind and Ken Shamrock are given an oppurtunity to become the number 1 contender for the WWF title while Vince McMahon's relationship with Undertaker and Kane gets reinforced. Steve Austin, meanwhile, comes to terms with having a 2 on 1 match at Breakdown and not a triple threat match.

On Nitro The Warrior continues his OWN Revolution while Hollywood Hogan is eager to fight his old rival. Alex Wright wants to take DDP's spot at Halloween Havoc and he challenges Page to a match, and things continue to look bleak for Scott Hall when he shows up to Nitro unfit for work.
