Written by Mac Davis, "Don't Cry Daddy", originally recorded by Elvis Presley in 1969 (it then peaked at number six on the Billboard Hot 100), was re-recorded by Elvis' daughter, Lisa Marie Presley, as an electronically merged duet with her father in 1997, just in time for the 20th anniversary of Elvis's death. The studio version of this duet, however, was unreleased at that time.
