Reminder of the Week: Not Everyone You Know & Meet is Going to Like You & That is OK.

This is a new mini series I am starting within my normal podcast because I believe it will be helpful. If it’s not, it would be fantastic if you would let me know that. Any & all comments & feedback are always welcome. But the goal is for this to be even shorter than my normal episodes & just a quick reminder, as the name details.

Did you know that not all people are going to like you? Even if you are as sweet as pie, you will encounter someone that will not like you. Maybe even extremely. And it’s our job to realize this & accept it. It’s also our job to realize it isn’t our job to change their mind about us, either. We will touch on that, too, shortly.

But you might ask, “Why do I have to accept this, Sabrina?” Because it will make your life better. It’s a guarantee.

If you are spending less time worrying about people liking you, accepting you & trusting you, the less stress you will have to deal with. With less stress, you will have more time to focus on your goals, dreams, aspirations & real problems you may have in your life.

Now, let’s go over why it’s not our job to make people like us. It’s not our job because it’s everyone’s personal choice whether they like someone or not. It shouldn’t be something that is forced or necessary. What’s the point of being forced to like someone of you truly aren’t going to enjoy it? It’s really a waste of emotions & not genuine. And being authentic & genuine is what we focus on over here.
