Rabbi John shares the story of the Maccabean revolt and what their victory means for us as believers in Yeshua!

This week we say hello to Zac Williams as he is speaks to us this evening. He starts by relaying what incarnation means and why Yeshua becoming flesh is critical. He talks about the births and prophecies of those births leading up to Yeshua. He also goes to say "We tend to attribute meaning to fact", which is very thought provoking. 

This week Rabbi John Powledge shares with us a death that occurred and the man's name is Jim. He talks about how he felt when this happened and how it felt for the family who lost him. Rabbi John explains that he felt "happy and sad" and what that means to him. He gives us an example found in the book of Psalms and the book of Philippians. He shares with us the Apostle Paul's life in prison and how that it could relate to us in our lives. 

This week Rabbi John Powledge continues with the subject on the heroes found in scripture. In this subject Rabbi refers back to his parents and how they are heroes to him. He looks towards more of the female heroes found in the Bible. Rabbi John goes through Exodus chapters 1 and 2 and talks about the Joseph and the mother of Moses. He starts with Joseph and what he went through during his life. Rabbi John looks at what Moses' mother has done to help him, as well as how she prepared herself when having Moses.

This week Rabbi John Powledge continues the discussion of heroes, Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob in particular. he talk about how impactful the faith can be and how good it is. He also relates to how we can have personal heroes in our lives, like how his dad was his as a child. 

This week Rabbi John Powledge continues on the subject on the hero's found in the Bible. He gives a summery of what was talked about last week. Rabbi John shares with us a story on who's his hero is which was an assignment given by a teacher in his life, and what it means to him. Rabbi John goes to talk about a person named Thomas found in the Bible and what makes him significant. He gives a reason why Thomas shouldn't be called "Doubting Thomas" and why Thomas is one of the most faithful towards Yeshua. 

This week Rabbi John Powledge goes into the subject of the hero's found in the Bible. He began talking about his childhood and growing up with his grandparents. He recalls what made them his hero. Rabbi John gives the true term of what it means to be a hero and a hero in faith. Rabbi John goes into the book of Hebrews 11:1-6 and refers to the meaning in faith. He looks back at the book of Genesis and talks about Cain and Abel and what they did in their faith in G-D. Rabbi John continues to look in Genesis with a man named Enoch and why he's significant to faith in G-D. 

Rabbi John wraps up his series on grace as it pertains to Simchat Torah and Shimini Atzeret with a calling of evangelism to the world due to the grace we have been given.

This week Rabbi John Powledge continues on the subject of "grace." He gives a short summery of what he's talked about on previous weeks. Rabbi John goes back to the thought of "the greatest love story ever told" starting with Abraham and his son Isaac. He also mentions the "Scarlet Thread" and links both as one. Rabbi John mentions the sacrifice of the lamb and how significant it is to the Jewish people.
