We spend our days focused on remodeling your homes, but we are reminded and informed by our own personal experiences of the challenges our clients face in living through a remodeling project. In this week’s newsletter, Geoff describes the comedy that is his "unwanted" and never-ending remodeling project. It began with a beep and led to a little pump that led to another pump and now a sensor. Amongst it all, a big mess to fix.
We spend a lot of time trying to help homeowners understand elements of the home remodeling process to help folks avoid the potential pitfalls that projects can present. This week, you hear from a true expert! We ask a client to share her advice having lived through a project. It’s a client that we worked with for many months on a very large renovation project. Want to know what advice she has to offer? Keep reading (or check out our 15 minute interview) as we continue to demystify the remodeling process.
Where will your next round of home renovation ideas come from? In addition to all your social media inspirational follows, a Central Indiana staple is the annual “Home-A-Rama”. This year’s home show consists of 5 incredible custom homes that range in price from $4,000,000 to $6,000,000 in a new development called Promontory in Zionsville, IN. We know most all of us aren’t buying a home that expensive in our lifetimes, but there is still so much to see and learn that applies to our own home projects. Keep reading (or check out my 12 minute video giving you a tour of some of my favorite things to see at the show) as we continue to demystify the remodeling process.
This week is a bit of a behind the scenes of a recent family celebration, but with a purpose. Why do we remodel our homes? If I have piqued your curiosity, keep reading or watch the 3 minute video as we continue to demystify the remodeling process.
Where do you go when all you want to do is replace a door on your home with a good quality product that has a proper installation? What are the differences between the types of doors that get installed on a home? How do people choose which material to use on what opening? What are the entry level options and what are the differences if you want to step up a level or two because this is your long time home or possibly even your forever home?
The final week. We have spent the last 11 weeks focused on the same project. Over the last 3 months, our luxury brownstone project in Carmel hasn’t disappointed as we have tried to give you a behind the scenes look at how these projects come together. Aside from an interview I did with my Father a couple years ago, this may be my single favorite podcast and video out of the 63 we have completed to date. Why? Jared exemplifies and speaks to exactly who we are as a company. Honestly, just take 5 minutes to watch or click and read a little further. I don’t want to take away from the message. If you want to know what it means to work with The Lifestyle Group, this is the episode for you! Thank you for following along as we continue to demystify the remodeling process.
It has been 10 weeks literally focused on the same project. It’s hard to believe one project could create so much to talk about! If you like a behind the scenes look on how things get done, this is your episode. Once again, our luxury brownstone project in Carmel doesn’t disappoint and this week we move up to the penthouse of the project, more appropriately known as the 4th floor. This space is smaller in size as it is flanked by not one, but two outdoor deck and entertainment areas, but this 4th floor doesn’t take a backseat to any other part of this project. Want to understand how to properly hang a very heavy shelf? How do you get storage in built in seating? What goes into properly determining the dimensions of built ins that flank a fireplace? Join us as we continue to demystify the remodeling process.
Want to engage in a seemingly simple project like changing the cabinetry in your master bathroom? If so, you’ll enjoy this week’s topic! This is part 9 in a series where we feature elements of a luxury brownstone project in Carmel and each week we set out to show a different area of the project. This week we answer one very important question. What things must you think ahead about before buying the vanity cabinets to upgrade your master bathroom? Join us as we continue to demystify the remodeling process.
Want to learn a few tricks about utilizing trim to create a low cost feature in a space? If so, this week’s topic is just for you! This is part 8 in a series where we feature elements of a luxury brownstone project in Carmel and each week we set out to show a different area of the project while answering a few helpful questions. This week we address the following topics: What happens when you have trim come together at 2 doorways and there is no room for each door casing to be installed separately around each door? How do you create trim detail in the crown molding over a window to give it additional depth and character? As always, here are a few more answers as we continue to demystify the remodeling process.
Want to see an inexpensive, yet highly detailed powder bathroom project? You are in the right place! This is part 7 of this series where we feature elements of a luxury brownstone project in Carmel and, aside from the continued phenomenal visuals, we answer these critical questions.
