Isaiah 51

If there's anything the world needs now, it needs the comfort of God. And this is what Isaiah offered to God's people in his day: the reassuring truth that those who pursued God would also find comfort in him. Isaiah 50

In this chapter, God answers Israel's accusations that He has abandoned them. God responds by saying that He not only has the ability to save His people, but the desire to do so. They, however, forsake God by their own disobedience. Teaching from Isaiah 50, Robert Fonseca describes God's power to save His people and the example Jesus, God's perfect Servant, leaves us when he suffers.

Isaiah 49

Isaiah 48

How do we tell when we're being determined—or merely obstinate? The prophet Isaiah might contend that obstinance does not change course in the face of evidence to the contrary. Isaiah 47

In Isaiah 47, Isaiah depicts an incredible fall from when he declares God's judgement against Babylon's pride. As Isaiah prophesies, Babylon's pride ultimately results in vulnerability and shame. John Banman describes the escape route we can take from our own pride and arrogance and the redemption we can seek in Christ.
