Four or five years ago, I started Renaissance Woman, learned everything I could about podcasting and multipotentialites... and then I got bored and moved on.
Honestly? I didn’t miss it. I had learned what I wanted to learn, and my brain was already onto the next thing.
For years, I wondered if constantly changing directions meant I was a quitter. Now, at 43, I see it very differently.
In the first episode back, I’m talking about why Renaissance Woman disappeared, my lifelong habit of collecting careers, skills and side quests, getting sucked into hustle culture, going back to school in my 40s, randomly learning Farsi, and why I’ve finally stopped trying to make all the different parts of me fit neatly into one box.
Turns out, I was never a quitter. Sometimes I was just done.
Welcome back to Renaissance Woman. This time, I think I finally know what this podcast is supposed to be.
