In our Exodus journey we have seen that the people of Israel never really got out of Egypt. They got out physically but they remained enslaved. The Old Testament prophets warned that they would loose the promised land and be exiled. But the New Testament opens with a message that someone like Moses but greater would show up. And this hero would complete the Exodus journey. If you are struggling for freedom, then this message is for you. There is a way out of slavery and into the promises of God.

In our survey of the Exodus we have arrived at the promised Land. But no sooner have the people arrived at their long awaited destination and they turn to sin. It was a false start. Maybe the reason that so much of the Old Testament is dedicated to this false start is because it mirrors a universal human experience. We get free, but not completely free.
