We need God for life. He fills us with His spirit and we are given new life. The dry bones can do nothing to bring themselves back--what can we do? Only God. Seattle Winters are tough, hard to maintain hope, we are often cut-off from community and we are isolated--God can bring the dead things in our lives, the dead places in our hearts back to life again.

Last week we talked about the Abundance of God's inheritance for all. Here, once again, we see a family torn apart by a struggle for blessing and inheritance. God is faithful to redeem and reconcile all things, in spite of how we muddle things up!

Rachel and Leah forget about God when they look around at what other people have or what other people think. Remembering God turns us away from envy and discontent, toward peace, joy, and love for others.
