This week, we consider Jesus’ calling to preserve and restore all that is broken in our world… and illuminate all that is good and glorious!

As Jesus gives one of his most famous sermons, we learn the upside down nature of the kingdom of heaven. "Blessed are those who hunger and thirst for righteousness... for they shall be filled."

As we follow Christ to renew our neighborhoods, city and world… We look at Jesus’ invitation to follow him, which entails 1) A call to transformation, 2) A call to relationship and 3) A call to healing.

In this passage, we see Jesus invite his first followers into the adventure of a lifetime as he says, “Come and see… Follow me… You will see greater things than these!” This is the same invitation he makes to you and me, today. How do you respond?

As we baptize and bring in new members of the church this day, we reflect on Jesus' baptism as we see 1) His identity, 2) He identifies with us, and 3) He offers us a new, truer identity.

As we celebrate the season of Advent in preparation for Christmas, we consider the gifts of Faith, Hope and Love and what it means to live in these virtues!
