Ha ha, how about this for a BOLD ambition?!

It arose from enjoying Michael Gelb's insights into, "How to Think like Leonardo da Vinci." That kind of innovative, expansive, Renaissance thinking is essential given that the China Crisis aka World Crisis has, so far, wiped £2.7 Trillion off the World's productivity - that is if productivity can be equated with lost working hours. How DARE I write this? Talk about imposter syndrome on steroids! However, that's just an excuse. The thoughts of the most successful Human Being that has ever lived are clearly marked out in Red Ink in some versions of the New Testament! It's a no-brainer. Go through these like an honourable journalist and just report on the way He thinks - that's Gospel Truth!

But that would also be a bit lazy (and boring?)

Instead, whilst I promise to go through ALL the New Testament in this series, I'm not going to do it in order. I'm going to act 'as if' I'm inspired to write this to you in the order it 'comes' to me.

IT BEGINS WITH STRATEGY NOT TACTICS

What Jesus told us to do, as the equivalent of habitual behavioural tactics, really doesn't make sense without first understanding the context of the Divine Strategy for Human Well-Being.

He really was clear on His Mission:

Right from the beginning, we are clear that there is a villain in this story - here called, "The thief." The enemy comes to steal, to kill, and to destroy. There is no confusion here. If events in your life steal, kill, or destroy, they are diametrically opposite and opposed to the Character and express Will of God.

What is God's Will, His Intent, His Purpose?

God's purpose is that YOU and I may have Life (with a Capital 'L' methinks) and to have it abundantly.

BEFORE YOU GO FURTHER

God is not a deceiver - that's the other one. There's no trick here. "Abundance" means abundance... plus a lot more!

I'd like you to pause and complete this wonderful exercise.

It's a transliteration of "Perissos" which comes from "Peri" (meaning "all-around, excess") beyond what is anticipated, exceeding expectation; "more abundant," going past the expected limit... One of the greatest revelations personal to me is the very name of this Podcast Channel: "Renew The Mind; Transform Your Life."

I'd like to share this episode with you - one that is accessible to my friends who don't yet share our faith.  There is content in here more suitable to an audience unfamiliar with what you and I may take for granted, but stay with it and you'll realise anew how important it is for us to, "think God's thoughts after Him," - Selwyn Hughes' definition of Biblical Meditation.

Neuroscience has much to offer us in terms of exciting confirmation of good Christian habits.  Neuroplasticity is consistently demonstrating that the architecture of the brain is transformed by the thoughts that flow through it.
We can literally be transformed by thinking new, better thoughts - or 'renewing the mind' as we would describe it from Romans 12:2.

[Now, if I were to offer my body as a living sacrifice - as in verse 1 - I might lose some weight, live longer, and have an even more fruitful ministry!]

This is the audio component of a video message, recorded in the back garden, to encourage my Christian and Pre-Christian friends to begin judging everything they say as, "Prophetic."  It is raw and 'live' rather than my usually carefully polished productions!

Just imagine if everything you said had the power to come to pass!  How would that change what you allowed to come out of your mouth?

We bless others, and we curse others, by what we say about them.

Do you judge others (and speak about them) based on their past and present performance, or on their future potential...?

This was a message broadcast to a largely secular audience... and, as such, there is some 'doubtful humour' that you may or may not approve of.  However, the point remains solid: what you say should be said as if it is "Gospel" - ie. "The Truth that has either come to pass already or will come to pass soon."

With this in mind, we should say about others what we would want them to say about us!

God presides in the great assembly;
