For my Christian audience, I wanted you to know that I've pitched this podcast in terms that others, too, can enjoy and benefit from without necessarily sharing our faith.  I've been using Scripture for years as the basis of my affirmations.  What I've learned this weekend may well shift the level of results I am achieving.  I therefore felt a sense of urgency about sharing this with you.

The content of this inspirational podcast has largely been inspired by Ron's writing. Although the book was published in 1993, it has already delivered some breakthrough distinctions I really should have known years ago. I hope it works for you too.

Here I am, 60 years old, no home, no substantial pension.  Like Abraham and Sarah, in the natural realm I'd have to face the facts that I'm as good as dead.  

But you and I don't live merely in the natural realm.  We serve the Living God Who gives life to the dead and Who calls the things that 'are not' as though they 'are'.

This message is for those of us who need a financial miracle - yes, a miracle - something that goes beyond the natural expectations and delivers the improbable, even the seemingly impossible.

Against hope, Abraham, in hope, believed.  Yes, we're going to talk about reprogramming the mind so that we have a new kind of hope - not a realistic one based on the evidence of the senses.

Your Heavenly Father will run to you, if you'll accept Him, and put on you His own Robe - clothing you with Christ.  He will give you His own ring - His Authority and His Name.  He will put on you His sandals, representing true freedom.

And there is an inheritance due to you - houses and wealth, and, if you need one, a prudent spouse!

The mediations on the Word that have resulted in this message can change your future.

Where do we get our view of God from? God is merciful, as shown in the mathematics of mercy when we revisit the story of Sodom & Gomorrah.

I share a special message for christians who feel tormented by their own constant sense of failure.

The story of Sodom and Gomorrah in Genesis 18 seems like a tale of God's wrath, but it is far more an account of His mercy.

I've recorded the Biblical Book of Ruth at this time for three reasons.

Firstly, it's National Storytelling Week, and this is a personal favourite.

Secondly, it celebrates an exalted form of love, Chesed, which is so rich in interpretation that no one word or phrase in English is sufficient to the task. It is loyal love, a covenant love, an enduring love, a love that never fails.

Thirdly, Ruth demonstrates the importance of seeing oneself as part of a bigger plan. She is an ancestor of King David, and thus vital to that timeline... in fact, David was born what appears to be 300 years later. When we face troubles, as the whole world is doing today, it is important to "think longer" and to see the current darkness as a blip that will pass. My Dad will never forget the War but it did pass and it is now seen in the context of a much longer time frame. Our children who have been most affected by this year (so far) of confinement will feel like it fills their whole life. It doesn't, but it will take them time to realise that. This too shall pass.

Ruth went through times of great loss, great sorrow, and great suffering... but within a larger time-frame, we hear how everything works out to the good.

There is hope.

For those of you with a strong personal faith, it is interesting to look more deeply at some of the language.  Chesed is "covenant love" - and thus "loyal love".  It is as unbreakable as a covenant.

Hear then, what Ruth says, with fresh ears...
"May Yahweh do so to me, and more also, if anything but death parts you and me."
This is a Covenant Oath - utterly binding.
Some commentators link it to the Blood Covenant where the parties who were binding one another to each other would split a sacrifice down the middle.  This would create two walls of blood.  They would walk between the pieces and then say, pointing to the pieces, "May Yahweh do so to me, and more also, if anything but death parts you and me."

Here is Ruth's full statement (Chapter 1:16-17)
16 Ruth said, “Don’t urge me to leave you, and to return from following you, for where you go, I will go; and where you stay, I will stay. Your people will be my people, and your God my God. 17 Where you die, I will die, and there I will be buried. May Yahweh do so to me, and more also, if anything but death parts you and me.”

THIS is the kind of love I want to express to others;
THIS is the kind of love I desire to experience from others;
THIS is the kind of love that God consistently demonstrates to His chosen people.

This massive revelation came to me this morning.
It revolves around the truth that God's Word is always creative.
The Creator speaks creative words.
This includes His Commandments as much as His prophesies and promises.

Thus, when He commands us to, "Be perfect, even as your Heavenly Father is perfect," those words have the power within them to create that result within you...
...those words have the creative power to make you perfect, to create perfection within you...

...if you receive them implanted by faith.

A Prayer by Moses, the man of God.
Lord, you have been our dwelling place for all generations.
Before the mountains were born,
before you had formed the earth and the world,
even from everlasting to everlasting, you are God.
You turn man to destruction, saying,
“Return, you children of men.”
