The season of the birth of Jesus was a season of intense spiritual activity occurring in the midst of a normal day. However, only few people were aware of what was going on. Our inability to discern the spiritual causes us to miss God. (Luke 2:7)

Being in the state of expectancy is key in recognizing and flowing with every move of God. It keeps us alert in order not to miss God. For the expectation of the righteous shall not be cut short. (Proverbs 23:18)

The most valuable gift God has given us is our life but sadly, we do not see it this way. So we invest more in getting than in becoming. Lot's wife was more concerned about what she had left at Sodom an Gomorrah than her life. (Luke 17:32)

It is mostly said that history always repeats itself. But the actual truth is, people are the ones that repeat history. Jesus not wantus to repeat the "history" of Lot's wife warns us on the consequences of "looking back". (Luke 17:32)

Jesus is not just our saviour but our Lord also. He doesn't just deliver us from evil and impossible situations, he instructs and commands us on how to live. Go and be good samaritans. (Luke 10:37) 

Two key antidotes God has given us to administer to the pain of people are the oil, the anointing, and the wine, the blood. Whenever we preach Jesus we dispense the life of God and deliver people from the lies and destruction of the devil. (Luke 10:34)

Apart from religious jargons we use, and our participation in religious activities, there is very little about us that shows that we are christians. It is not surprising that it was a priest and a Levite that passed by unconcerned. (Luke 10:31-32)
