    Preacher: Pastor Paul Whitfield

    Date: September 27, 2026

  • Trust, Obey and Wait | Exodus 7:1–13
    Trust, Obey and Wait

    Scripture: Exodus 7:1–13

    Preacher: Pastor Paul Whitfield

    Date: September 20, 2026

    Series: Exodus

    Main Idea

Faithful obedience requires trusting God's Word, following His commands, and waiting upon His sovereign purposes, even when opposition persists and the outcome is not immediately visible.

    Main Points
    1. God equips His servants for the work He commands. The Lord establishes Moses and Aaron in their roles and instructs them to speak His words before Pharaoh (vv. 1–2).
    2. God's sovereign plan includes opposition. The Lord prepares Moses for Pharaoh's hardened heart and declares that His power will be displayed through signs and judgments (vv. 3–5).
    3. Faithfulness means obeying God's Word. Moses and Aaron do exactly as the Lord commands, demonstrating obedience despite the challenges before them (vv. 6–10).
    4. God's authority is greater than every competing power. Aaron's staff swallows the staffs of Pharaoh's magicians, yet Pharaoh continues to resist the Lord (vv. 11–13).

    Personal Reflection Questions
    1. How do I respond when God calls me to obey Him without knowing how circumstances will turn out?
    2. Where am I tempted to measure God's faithfulness by immediate results rather than His promises?

  • I Am The Lord | Exodus 6
    I Am The Lord

    Scripture: Exodus 6

    Preacher: Pastor Paul Whitfield

    Date: September 13, 2026

    Series: Exodus

    Main Idea

God reveals Himself as the faithful, covenant-keeping Lord who hears the cries of His people, remembers His promises, and accomplishes their redemption through His sovereign power rather than human strength.

    Main Points
    1. God reveals His identity and faithfulness. The Lord declares who He is and reminds Moses of His covenant with Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob (vv. 1–5).
    2. God promises redemption for His people. The Lord declares that He will deliver Israel from bondage, redeem them, and bring them into the land He promised (vv. 6–8).
    3. Discouragement can make God's promises difficult to hear. The Israelites struggle to receive God's words because of their broken spirit and harsh slavery (v. 9).
    4. God's purposes do not depend on human ability. Despite Moses' doubts about his ability to speak, God continues to commission him to confront Pharaoh (vv. 10–30).

    Personal Reflection Questions
    1. How does knowing God as the faithful, covenant-keeping Lord strengthen my confidence in His promises?
    2. When have difficult circumstances made it hard for me to hear and trust God's Word?
    3. Am I placing greater confidence in my own abilities or in God's power to accomplish His purposes?
    4. How does God's promise of redemption in Exodus point me toward the greater redemption accomplished through Jesus Christ?

    Who Is The Lord

    Scripture: Exodus 5

    Preacher: Pastor Paul Whitfield

    Date: September 6, 2026

    Series: Exodus

    Main Idea

Pharaoh's rejection of God's authority reveals the pride and rebellion of the human heart, while Israel's increasing suffering reminds us that God's promises remain trustworthy even when obedience leads through hardship.

    Main Points
    1. Pharaoh rejects the authority of the Lord. Pharaoh refuses God's command to release His people, questioning who the Lord is and why he should obey Him (vv. 1–5).
    2. Resistance to God brings greater suffering. Pharaoh increases the Israelites' burdens, demanding the same number of bricks without providing straw (vv. 6–14).
    3. God's people struggle when deliverance seems delayed. The Israelite foremen confront Moses and Aaron as their circumstances grow worse (vv. 15–21).
    4. Faith brings our questions before the Lord. Moses cries out to God, struggling to understand why obedience has seemingly brought greater trouble (vv. 22–23).
