1. Make to yourselves a new heart, and a new spirit (Ezechiel 18:31; ref. Romans 7:6)
2. I will pour clean water [Holy Spirit] upon you and put my Spirit in the midst of you and give you a new heart and a new spirit, and cause you to walk in my laws. (Ezechiel 36:24-27)
3. The Holy Spirit teaches us and we then apply our spirit [mind] to put to death the deeds of the flesh [quit sinning by breaking God's laws]. With our Renewed [Reborn] spirit [mind] we are then to serve the Law of God. (John 14:26; Romans 7:6-25; Romans 8:13, 12:1-2; Titus 3:5-6)
4. Baptism represents our having died with Christ, and death acquits from sin, so that when we arise from the watery grave of baptism we can now walk in newness of a sin-free life, the old self has been crucified with him. (Romans 6:3-7)

13. We spoke what we learned from the Holy Spirit, combining spiritual (Holy Spirit) with spiritual (man's spirit).

14. Wherefore we do not lose heart. On the contrary, even though our outer man is decaying, yet our inner man is being renewed day by day. (2 Corinthians 4:16)
