Right smack in the middle of one of the letter correcting the first century Church in Corinth about matters that have cause division Paul writes these words; "When I was a child, I spoke as a Child, Understood as a Child, and thought like a child, but when I become a man, I put away childish things." In the midst of difference, resolve comes when all parties "Grow Up!" We are faced with great trials in our families, communities and local churches. Until we come to the realization that much of our issues stem from our immaturity, the issue will remain

Sibling Rivalry, what is it? Remember when you were young and you would fight with your siblings? Maybe for attention, authority, or if you were the oldest, you thought you were the boss so it was your way or no way? But much of this wasn't rivalry, in fact sometimes it was just competition. Rivalry is the state of two people or groups engaging in a lasting competitive relationship. As we see this in families, this has crept into the Church. The Bible is rich with stories of rivalry and Genesis 4, is between Cain and Abel. One man's rivalry for the other caused him to kill his brother. So many of us are committing murder against our siblings too, not physically but we kill them with our words.

Watch where GOD is working and join Him in doing what He is doing to build His Church. If GOD is in It, GOD has got it, and GOD will do it!

In our text this morning, John gives us "warning" about that sin that is the unforgivable sin because it turns us completely away from GOD, IDOLS!

I’ve been around the Church for 30 years,and in that 30 years, I can’t count the amount of time I heard a sermon or proclamation that GOD is doing a New Thing in the Church. I'm not trying to be funny or sound critical, I’m still wondering what that “New Thing” people were referring too. Now, that doesn’t mean that the church has now been engaged in “new things” it clear that we have. But, from my vantage point, all I see happening are the inventions of men and flesh. Yes, we see the doctrines changing. More and more of GOD wanting you to be rich and money cometh, but nothing about holiness and the Fear of GOD.

Nehemiah, after hearing that the walls of Jerusalem had been broken down and the gates burned, didn't ignore the issue, nor did he play the blame GOD. He Prayed, Fasted and Repented for allowing the walls of defense to be destroyed by not obeying the Commandments of GOD.
