John wants to be sure that you and I have put our faith in the Messiah, the Lord Jesus Christ.

Friends we are called to be like a true whose roots go deep and produce good fruit. This study has taught us that God is Light, God is Love, & God is Life. In this message the believer is reminded about the importance of identifying spiritual fruit, and he necessity of having roots which go deep into the soil and water of God's Word.

The greatest weapon that has crippled the church is LOVELESSNESS. Since God is Love and We have been saved by LOVE and then we were filled with LOVE, so we could LOVE God and Love his Children...this fruit like no other should be flowing in us and through us.

Victorious living

Friends, false teachers have infiltrated the body of Christ and they have preached an empty half hearted watered down gospel. Friends it is up to God's people to intervene and reject every false teacher.

Friends, one of the Apostle John's concern with the body of Christ is it's ability to love and care for one another. While writing to the church he pauses and warns that false teaching can interfere with it's ability to care for itself and be all that God the Father wants it to be.

Salvation and love are inextricably linked. A believer is filled with the Holy Spirit, the Holy Spirit is the third person of the trinity, therefore everyone who is filled with the Spirit of God

A Christian does not create their own identity; our identity is defined in scripture, empowered by the Holy Spirit and modeled by Christ.

Friends many Christians are living their lives in opposition to the world. There are many who are afraid of the choices and decisions the world is making.

John reminds the church that although sin should not be a part of our daily life when it is we have an ADVOCATE! He is our lawyer and not only intercedes but has taken the punishment of every believer.
