We continue our verse by verse, chapter by chapter study of God's Word. We are in John's Gospel, chapter 5, verses 24-30.  We see Jesus continue to confront the religious leaders, who are now persecuting Jesus for breaking one of their man-made rules. Jesus tells them that those who believe in Him will live forever.  But for those who reject Him, also rejects God the Father, and will be judged unto eternal damnation.  Jesus briefly references the Rapture.  He also tells them that God the Father has given Him the authority to judge the world. Jesus tells the religious leaders that His judgment will be just because He knows what all of us have done. So listen to the Word of God and be blessed!

We continue our verse by verse, chapter by chapter study of God's Word.  We are in John's Gospel, chapter 5, verses 15-23.  We see the religious leaders start to persecute Jesus for allegedly breaking their Sabbath rules by healing on the Sabbath and telling the man he healed, who was crippled for almost 40 years, to take up his bed and walk.  Jesus confronts them and tells them as God works on the Sabbath, so does He because He  does only what Father God tells Him to do.  We see that the religious leaders realize that Jesus is claiming to be God, which He is, so they want to kill Him even more so.

In this episode, we start chapter 5 of the Gospel of John. We cover verses 1-14.  Jesus heals a man who had been crippled for almost 40 years on the Sabbath. When the religious leaders discover that Jesus did this on the Sabbath, this will spark their persecution of Jesus. Instead of being happy for the man, the Jewish leaders are upset that someone dared break one of their laws. Not God's law, but their law.  As we know,  their persecution of Jesus will continue until they have him killed. In this episode we wrap up Chapter 3 of the Book of John from the New Testament of the Bible. We study John 3:30-36, where John the Baptist continues his conversation with the local Jewish leaders who are trying to start a rivalry between him and Jesus. John the Baptist informs them that since Jesus is from above (Heaven) that Jesus's ministry is above his ministry.  He also tells them that many people will reject what Jesus says about what God the Father has told Jesus to do and say. But fortunately, there will be those who accepts Jesus and thus accepts the Father.  John the Baptist explains to these local Jewish leaders God's plan of salvation; that is, whoever believes in Jesus shall have eternal life with Him, and for those who don't believe in Him will endure God's wrath.
