Photoshop is on par with breathing, sleeping and eating this artist.
Because of this, we may have talked a bit more about these aspects than

Hey Family! Here we are kicking the year off with a SLAM DUNK interview…and apparently awful cringy dad jokes…👌 Jax was kind enough to grace us with his awesomeness and spend some time talking about toys and taking pictures!
The man, they call @plasticaction, is a revolutionary creator in this community. As we all know, when it comes to content creation, toy photography is sorta like a small town pull off somewhere in Wyoming. Sports is is more like the New York or L.A. of created content (it’s just facts y,all…😂). Well he MERGED THEM.
His page is a stunning journey traveling the valley between court side and Toys R Us. Anybody from NBA stars to Pixar characters get to play on the courts and there is plenty of action peppered with imagination to go around! Jax had a vision and he brought that vision to life!

Hey Family! On today’s episode of Renouncing Adulthood, we’re talking to the leading authority on forced perspective! @cawhitlow is an awe-inspiring toy and miniature photographer that captures his audience with scenes that make you say, “wait….huh?”
Chris knows his craft. His scenes are 50 percent landscape and 50 percent diorama. He magically merges a couple square feet of diorama into sometimes miles and miles of grand vista. This illusion is part of what brings a unique spirit and energy to his feed.
The vibe is also about character choice. When a figure or miniature is placed in frame, they become more than a figure. It is so important to Chris, that the character serves purpose. The scene, character and concept create that perfect balance that is the key to the magic his feed vibrates with!

Hey Family! On today’s episode of
Renouncing Adulthood, we’re talking to the one and only @lostintranslationphoto. Jules is an unbelievable portrait photographer
that morphed into an unbelievable toy photographer and it was great to chat through her progression from full sized people to less than full sized people!
Jules obviously has a deep understanding of “the camera” but her work enters another plane of existence once she gets down to the computer work. For her, the computer plays as big a role as the camera when bringing her vision to life. Jules uses edits with the precision you’d expect from a reconstructive surgeon. She adds every layer with purpose in order to bring her wildest visions to life!
Jules is the type of toy photographer you can really learn a lot from.
Her page is obviously a page to be enjoyed but it is also a page that
inspires. When you look at her work it immediately makes you want to push the boundaries of what is possible!
It’s chocolate milk time!!!

toy photographer! We got to chat with somebody “toy photographer
adjacent” on Renouncing Adulthood. The one, the only Jordon Affonso or as
many of you know him, @oilers_workshop.
Jordon is an unbelievable talent in the diorama world, as well as the general
maker space. His dioramas are everywhere! They reach all corners of
this crazy world we all exist in. They are on shelves of collectors and
in photographs from amateurs and pros. Even if you are one who has not
heard of Jordon, you’ve probably seen his work!
Jordon also has a fantastic YouTube channel! His charismatic presence and
charm are the core to his informative videos that are both a great resource and
relaxing entertainment!

Hey Family! Today we had the great pleasure of hanging with a key member of the toy photography community. The one and only @spideygoeshygge or Janan (his earthly name). Janan knows how to bring calm and peace to his images. Using light and focus, he creates images where the character appears to be right where they are supposed to be.
There is a softness and approachability To his scenes. They pull you in to an alternate reality where the characters he photographs almost no longer feel fictional. Come hang out with the 3 of us for the next hour and a half and let’s have some fun. Stay awesome and never grow up!
