Repetition for ease

Listen Later

In the psychological community, obsessive-compulsive disorder (OCD) is defined as an anxiety disorder in which the person has unwanted and repeated thoughts, feelings, ideas, sensations (called obsessions), or behaviors that make him or her feel driven to do certain things (called compulsions). It is believed that the person carries out the behaviors to get rid of the obsessive thoughts, but the behavior only provides temporary relief. Not performing obsessive rituals can cause great anxiety.

Try to find out the triggers of your child’s repetitive behavior.
