Reporting on 9/11

Many people were sent home from work early on September 11th, 2001. But journalists didn't have that luxury. They headed into work, even on their days off. In this episode, we’ll hear from radio reporter Amy Parmenter whose "day off" on 9/11 didn’t last very long.

On September 11th, 2001 many people relied on the love of friends and family to make sense of the tragedy. But for others, being alone became its own challenge. The same is true for journalists.
