When recording audiobooks, you need a separate audio file that is always playing alongside your voice recording. You can record your (quiet!) room sound or even find free downloads online for this purpose. I didn’t really understand it at first but it’s not the same as absolute silence.

While recording a video for a course the other day, I hit record and before I got in front of the camera, I heard what a “racket” of noise there was in the background.

It, of course, was, uh, you know, nature.

I’d like 1-minute to be my “Room Tone.”

Remember a month ago? Back before we created the first Repossible Summit?

Back then, I couldn’t talk about summits in terms of how many or how good (or even how bad) because I had never done one.

Now we have. 

It was both the worst and the best–and it’s still the only.

At least, until the 17th of February.

But until then, I’m going to relish The Best Summit Ever.

It’s Thursday. It’s raining. It’s January. It must be Holland.

What’s it like in your neck of the woods?

In fact, being a bit of one combined with lots of the other can be the best combination.

Yes, but this:

• It’s better than the one I didn’t do at all
• It’s certainly more timely than the one I postponed (and never materialized)
• It’s better than the one I was thinking of doing (but never actually did)

Yet, it’s also:

• Not as good as my next one (but the 2nd one wouldn’t exist without the 1st one)
• Pretty much guaranteed to not REMAIN the worst summit I’ve ever done (as I do more and more of them)
• Breaking down the barrier to fear that I, apparently, have had for 6 months

It’s Thursday. There’s Thunder. The lightning hit 9 months ago when I wanted to do a summit.

9 months later, the thunder rumbles me into action.

Who said that … “Lightning is overrated. Thunder is where the energy is.”
