When we are facing a challenge or thinking about taking that first job as a new software engineer, we sometimes get caught in a cycle that brings about discontentment because we are told to focus on our strengths, but for those of us who are underrepresented in tech, those strengths aren't always aligned with what the industry deems a strength.
