RePPiN4...The Boy Genius!
New album - "The Different Kids",
Coming back to the mic, and a fun fact about Method Man!
Multi award - winning platinum artist and producer, KWAME',
Returns to the forefront of the music industry, sending true hip-hop heads into a frenzy with the release of his anticipated album, "The Different Kids." The 15-track project is a powerful, high-energy, and layered self-produced project that showcases several facets of the multi-hyphenate artistic personality. “The album title explains how I always felt as a person,” he explains. “I didn’t necessarily align with mainstream life. I’ve always felt different. Putting the Kids part of the title as plural, it’s a double thing. It speaks to the people who used to get into my music. I would refer to them as "The Different Kids.”
Throughout The Different Kids, Kwamé blends witty braggadocio and captivating storytelling with precise, dexterous flows. He also weaves social commentary into his rewind-worthy rhymes. The intro to “The Kwame Show,” for instance, sounds as if it could be the theme song from a classic television sitcom. The song then flips into a kinetic beat with Kwamé rapping with a controlled poise about everything from his ageless appearance to the evolution of Black family structure.
On “Hello Anybody,” Kwamé wonders if he’s the only one who sees the shortcomings of modern society while also addressing his own contradictions.
“Adulthood” takes a realistic look at marriage, about how men and women can drift apart over the years. “I wanted to address things that are important to me, but not make it preachy,” Kwamé says. “That’s the vibe of the whole album. I feel like I drop gems interwoven with the lyrics in different ways.”
Elsewhere, “Ms Mary Mack” showcases Kwamé flowing effortlessly over a spare, bouncy drum-driven beat, while he has guest vocalist Lady Tigra from L’Trimm speak to his community in a tongue-in-cheek manner on “Ole Skool Rapper.” Then, on “KWAME 2 KWAME” he imagines having a conversation with a younger version of himself. It all adds up to "The Different Kids", an artistic tour de force from one of hip-hop’s best rapper-producers.
“I decided I was only going to rap over beats I wanted to rap over,” Kwamé says. “I’m not going to allow what’s ‘in style’ or ‘out of style,’ dictate what I do. I try to be as absolutely creative as I can possibly be without anybody telling me, ‘No. You can’t do that,’ but myself. That thought process is the soul of the album.

Gail Campbell
Gail Campbell, a Jersey girl who finds her joy in music. Born into a musical family, she’s always been musically inclined. Even though she could always sing, Rapping was what the cool kids were doing back in the 80’s, so Gail was part of a crew that spit bars instead of singing the Blues.
After some small success as an M.C., Gail decided to take some time off from the music industry to focus on raising her children. As the years went by, she just figured that she had missed her chance. After all, we live in a culture that has a creepy obsession with youth, and a habit of telling women of a certain age that their ship has sailed. But thank God for our sister friends who consistently speak life to our hopes and dreams when the world would have us believe it’s too late. Gail’s good friend kept encouraging her to give it another go. And when she did, she realized that there’s a whole community of people who love her music and they don’t care what year she was born because good music is timeless.

It was there he realized he “Loved the spotlight.” As a teenager he fell in love with music and formed the group Hood Dynasty, consisting of his brother and two cousins all with the last name Hood. Later his music journey led him to a solo career where he scored two record deals, one in the U.S. and the other in Brazil.
Unfortunately, both record deals did not work out. However, he never lost his love for music or entertainment. He later would re-invent himself and go to his original love of acting. He became a self-taught actor, writer, director, producer, editor and music scorer for all of his productions.
Al-Karim would later take an extra leap of faith and fly to California to do his first stand up comedy show, where he would discover he also has a love for being a comedian. A-Hood considers him self more than a triple threat! He is a creative force and leader, who is hungry to share his multi-talents with the world.
His motto is, “To change the world one project at a time.”

Hip hop legend Donald-D came into Hip Hop as a b-boy breakin on the streets of the Bronx. It is said when he saw Busy Bee Starski rockin the mic @ 118 Park with DJ Disco King Mario he knew where his mission in Hip Hop was headed. He started his own crew the "As Salaam Brothers" with rap partner E.Z.A.D of the famous "Cold Crush Brothers".
From there he became a member of the Zulu Nation when he join forces with Afrika Islam, Jazzy-J, Kid Vicious, El Jay and DJ Superman as the group "The Funk Machine".
When Islam started his radio show the Zulu Beats in 1983 and he needed an MC to rock them fresh rhymes he called on D. That's where Donald's recording journey began.
