Gamma meditation is a technique that helps boost special brain waves called gamma waves. These waves happen when our brains are very active and can be found at frequencies between 25 and 140 Hz, with 40 Hz being the most important. Gamma waves are connected to important thinking skills like paying attention, remembering things, and organizing information.


Some studies show that meditation, especially practices that focus on being present or concentrating, can help our brains work better by producing more gamma waves. This can make it easier for us to understand things quickly, think of new ideas, and make smarter choices. If we meditate regularly, we can train our brains to reach these helpful states more easily, which can be great for work or school tasks.


To try gamma meditation, find a comfortable place to sit or lie down. Focus on your breathing and how your body feels with each breath. If your mind starts to wander, gently bring your attention back to your breath. Some research suggests that paying attention to your breathing can help produce even more gamma waves.


Gamma waves can help our brains become more alert and focused, which leads to better concentration, a positive mood, and more creativity. It usually takes about 10-15 minutes of practice to reach this highly focused state of mind.
