Wisconsin law needs an update to keep external influences out of the state’s Department of Justice, according to a report Republicans pushed through a Senate oversight committee on Tuesday.

But Democrats on the committee say they only received the report Monday afternoon, had no part in its drafting, and the committee itself is political theater.
