In a move that may signal the beginning of the end of the Republican Party as presently constituted, Republican representatives vote to oust Congresswoman Liz Cheney from her leadership position because she refuses to adhere to The Big Lie and refuses to pledge allegiance to The Big Liar. There is no reasonable argument that ousting Rep. Cheney for telling the truth will EXPAND the Republican base or attract new voters to the Republican Party.

So, rather than try to attract new voters with . . . policies, Republicans seek to win future elections by passing voter suppression laws. Here is why the Republicans will fail and why today's self-inflicted wound is a turning point for our nation.
