Maria Jordan O'Reilly lives in rural County Cavan, Ireland where she actively explores her creative side and, through several community based groups, flourishes in her profession as an artist. Maria dabbled in creative pursuits all her life, but as an emerging artist, has only just begun to put work into the public domain in the past 3 years. She is an active member of Bailieborough Creative Hub with a with pieces in a exhibitions across Ireland. Maria brings a wealth of experience of life, a full gamut of emotions that tell the tale of her trials that resonate with many experiences across her fanbase. She promotes inclusion and diversity in her community and participates in providing amplification to voices of rural youth, immigrants, and people of color throughout Cavan in the ‘Next Chapter’ program, and was instrumental in developing and directing a series of video interviews to document their stories. Maria is passionate about mental health issues and "the constant struggle many have to move from the darkness into the light." She also works with the theme of environmental diversity and sustainability, often "repurposing rubbish to create multimedia pieces that speak to our ‘wasted earth’ and the need for care to sustain our planet."
