With the pressure of today’s society, it’s easy for us to get caught up in portraying a certain image outward. However, what we are projecting out into the world can be very different than what is truly going on inside of us. We start to project a reputation that is different than our reality. But Jesus knows more about us than we do. He knows the good, the bad, and the ugly and still calls us to repentance.
In this sermon, we are reminded that repentance is beautiful, not shameful. But when we lose sight of the gospel, we begin to let our guard down in our faith. We must renew our minds and hold onto the good news.
