What if beauty wasn't something you treat and take care of on the outside, but instead you do from the inside. Our guest on this episode, Tracy Assaad, swears by this and explains to us how our beauty is a result of the connection between the mind and the body; the "thinking" and the "feeling" brains.
Tracy is a functional massage and yoga therapist specialized in women's health whose wellness and self-healing journey began right after leaving the corporate world, when she decided to take a step back from everything and focus on herself.
With a strong belief in beauty as something that is not that much about aesthetics, but instead is more of a visceral feeling, Tracy has learnt - and taught - over the years how our breathing, movement, alignment and mind-body connection are key to long-term health and aging gracefully.
Join me on this episode as I learn from Tracy how to create awareness in taking care of our beauty from the inside; how the mind-body connection is impacting today's health issues based on the theories developed on "When The Body Says No" by Gabor Maté; how the ingredients of our skincare products can impact our lymphatic system; but also how women can teach their emotions (as explained on "How To Be Sad" by Helen Russell); and how we can be preventing the symptoms of menopause if we act early ...and a lot more.
"Beauty to me is an inner visceral feeling" - Tracy Assaad.

“There’s nothing stronger than a broken woman who has rebuilt herself” - Hannah Gadbsy. With this quote as a life motto, this episode’s guest takes us through her journey redefining beauty while exploring new dimensions of self-expression, and introduces us into the space she’s creating for women to unapologetically find their true selves. This is Rana Alamuddin.
Leader of the #IForgiveMyself movement, Rana left her home country Lebanon to pursue her dream of becoming an actress in Hollywood. After being part of several successful projects and landing guest-starring roles in productions such as Sex and the City 2 and CSI: Miami Touch she started to feel the need to go back to the Middle East to create her own project, with her own voice and for her people. At that same time her husband got offered a job in Saudi Arabia, which made her take the decision to move back to the Middle East.
The shift of lifestyle, home, country and her motherhood experience drove Rana into a 4-year depression, but following her life motto and the learnings & hope that Danielle Laporte's book, The Desire Map, gave her, she managed to rebuild herself creating the space that allowed her to discover her true life purpose: Bayneh w Baynek - a safe space for the multifaceted Arab woman to come to authentically-away from societal judgement and shaming.
Join me as I dive deep into Rana’s story and how she found beauty in following her own path, breaking archetypal and society standard, and empowering other women to let go of feelings of guilt and shame thereby giving them permission to go after what they want.

Jeff Bezos once said: "Your brand is what people say about you when you're not in the room". You personal brand is the authentic essence of oneself - a combination of skills, experiences and attributes that make YOU who you are. It is how you present yourself to the world and how the world sees you.
Curious about this multidimensional topic, I decided to dive into the topic from three different perspectives.
In this recap episode, I give you my take on these past episodes; the highlights and lessons I focused on from our guests, Ben Demiri, Catherine Broome and Lynn Al Khatib.
Whether you were thinking of taking the step to define your personal brand or just curious about the topic, I hope you enjoyed this season and got inspired to reshape your thinking, just a little bit more.
If you want to take the leap, we are here to help you define it with our personal branding program at The RMK Collective.
See you on season 5 where we will debate the different dimensions of the beauty world!

In this episode I invite Lynn Al Khatib to dive into the professional side of branding to share with us her very own vision on this season's topic from an organization's point of view.
Currently the Group Head of Communications at Chalhoub Group, Lynn shares with us some truly interesting insights, such as the importance of having your own internal personal brand inside an organization in order to dissociate yourself - whether you're the founder, a senior executive or a member of a team.
Join our conversation as we learn from Lynn about the key pillars that any brand should include, how we can position ourselves by action and through purpose lead reflections. We also discuss what has worked for her in order to gain confidence putting her personal brand forward.
Prior to her current mission, Lynn Al Khatib established the regional corporate communications strategy at Nestlé MiddleEast and contributed to building trust in the Company through consistent and credible online and traditional communication. In her role as Media Relations and Internal Communications Manager between 2013-2019, she operated as the Company’s spokesperson, led crisis communication, established governance within her departments, and trained senior leaders. Her role also entailed building understanding and awareness of the notion of Creating Shared Value; and promoting public and private sector partnerships to generate societal, economic, and environmental impact.
"Your personal brand is not something that you create from scratch based on a brief or a copy of someone else you wish to be like. It's core to your values. It's the intersection of what you are excellent at, passionate about and who you really are" - Lynn Al Khatib

In this episode, we dive into personal branding from the angle of the professional. I get a recruiter's point of view with Catherine Broome - expert in delivering high-profile senior talent to privately owned portfolio businesses, designer-led brands, multinational, and online specialty retailers on an international level.
Currently a Managing Director for global talent advisory firm, ZRG Partners, Catherine shares with us on this episode how you can define your personal profile and identity with what you have and who you are; and not as per the past old standards of meeting the requirements of a specific job position or company.
Join our conversation as we dive into the identity side of personal branding and discuss about how talent is shaped nowadays, how can we build equity with our personal brand, transferrable skills, networking and building networks, defining our professional titles and much more.
"Personal branding to me means showing as much of myself as I want to and feel comfortable with the outside world" - Catherine Broome
"It's not about how you fit to the job you want, but how you can create a role that you want in terms of what you have learned, your natural skills and what your interests are" - Catherine Broome.

My first guest on this series on personal branding is the perfect example of someone that has mastered the art of balancing head & heart in a way that drives growth all around him and for others.
Ben Demiri started his studies in Molecular Biology; this might be why he has a superpower in understanding people and building great relationships!
In this episode Ben & I speak about topics that impact your personal brand such as passion, authenticity, intuition, leadership, exchange, human connections and - of course reputation! He shares with us how he was able to build a career that inspires so many, surrounded by great mentors, and keeping his pulse on what and who is next in the game.
Ben Demiri is currently the Chief Brand & Partnerships Officer of Europe’s fastest growing (and B Corp certified) fintech, Twig; as well as Co-Chair & Co-Funder at Platforme a fashion tech startup focused on 3D, customization and on-demand manufacturing while improving sustainability and optimizing inventories.

Film aficionado at heart - F&B entrepreneur is the path he chose in life. This is Joey Ghazal, our guest for this episode.
Born in Montreal and raised in Dubai, Joey is a “gastropreneur”, founder, CEO and managing partner of the MAINE since 2014 - one of the first Dubai homegrown concepts to open internationally. Apart from the F&B industry, he is also CEO and partner of Fighterbrands, a creative agency specialized in space design , brand creation and menu development.
Joey is known as “the man” behind the uberstylish and successful eatery, The MAINE, with which he disrupted the Dubai dining scene by thinking of it differently and bringing his theatrical touch to every place he puts his hands on. He made us all proud by exporting his Dubai homegrown concept to the very competitive dining landscape of London.
Fusing his passion for the film and restaurant industries, Joey inspired me by sharing how he approaches every project through a process of storytelling, where every member of his team is a character that is immersed into the brand by design but also by training.
In this episode Joey takes us through his journey while touching on topics such as the importance of storytelling and building a good team at scale and across borders, how he invests in tools that make his world more efficient. And much more...
“If your dreams don’t scare you, they are probably not big enough” - Joey Ghazal

“Purpose, legacy, values and community”. Our guest Ghizlan Guenez. on this episode highlights these as key points to have in mind when building any business.
Founder of The Modist - the first global e-commerce platform offering luxury fashion to women who prefer to dress modestly - and Co-founder of Queen Mode NFT collection, Ghizlan is breaking barriers for women in Web 3.0! She is also the Co-creator of SAWA - an initiative that supports young creatives in the Middle East region through a yearly pop up market at the trendy Al Serkal Avenue.
This year, taking advantage of her active community and platform, she created for her avid listeners and fans a business guide program of courses called FForce.
In 2020, at the start of the Covid 19 Pandemic, Ghizlan had to deal with an entrepreneur's worst nightmare and closed her business. I discuss with her about this difficult phase, how she managed it, what advise she has for others that are also faced with such difficult choices.
We also talk about fundraising, managing your board, choosing a co founder and all things startup!
Now in mid 2022, Ghizlan has relaunched along with her partner, Hajar Ouhsin, the comeback of The Modist reincarnated into a new marketplace with Web 3.0 technology.
"It's not what you are that holds you back, it's what you think you are not" - Ghizlan Guenez.
