RESILIENCE THROUGH THE ACT OF COURAGE
Private lives and professional career pressures are mounting.
We are in a war of mental health endurance.
Exacerbated by the Covid-19 pandemic and the “shadow” pandemic of metal health stressors impacting wellness and well-being which normally drives innovation, economic dynamics, employee energy, productivity, and performance.
We live in dangerous times because of the Covid-19 pandemic.
But how to cope, survive, maintain wellness and mental well-being?
You can, I know, because I have been in a war which ripped lives apart, shredded bodies and damaged minds.
I experienced it first hand. The hard way.
I was fighting to survive everyday as a combatant.
1800 consecutive combat days.
I saw everything.
Pain, destruction, uncertainty.
And using these lessons I learned the hard way I’m going to guide you.
No doubt that past two years offered all of us life-lessons on physical and psychological resilience.
Think about this for a moment.
When alone and facing your life, do you know how resilient you are or are not.
Today, as mentioned, the Covid-19 pandemic has put a focus on how we cope with life and all the uncertainty everywhere. That is why psychological resilience is the topic of today’s podcast episode, and every insight and observation is drawn from my personal experience and written about in my book Blood-Soaked Soil.
I would like to share with you that all of us are able to dig deep and be resilient!
How do I know this?
Let me start with highlighting that over marketed word “resilience”.
Resilience it is not something you can learn from a speaker and a book. No. Period. Resilience needs you to have an experience to face yourself. To overcome fears and anxieties.
