everytime you allow yourself to be "performative" it slowly chips away at your authenticity, pushing you into a space where you begin to people please and seek out others' approval/external validation.

most people aren't even conciously aware that they could be operating in a way that's performative, so it takes self-reflection/self-examination, being honest with yourself and then having the audacity to resist the urge to be performative.

you don't have to "earn" love, acceptance or approval from God, so why be performative within the many areas' of your life that you are assigned to? -

be yourself, allow yourself to just be and trust that who's for you and what's for you will be for you, without you having to be performative to receive. + if you find that you have to be performative or people please then it may be time to take inventory of your life and/or relationships + then move accordingly.
