a week or so ago I was reflecting on the narrative at which we base our value on, specifically when we journal or if and when we are prompted to express ourselves, for example when you are answering a prompt, what narrative are you answering from? a past experience? the voice of someone who was attempting to discourage you?
and the reason why this is so important is because the narrative at which you are answering is the compass of your value and belief system, so my hope is that you would reflect on, check your narrative and come to know who you are in Christ so that your value system can be grounded in who God says you are and not the voice of your past experiences or wounds.
you deserve to be able to encounter a good thing, recognize it and feel worthy of receiving it but the only way for that to be so is if you heal your belief system, renew your mind and check your narrative so that you will be able to.

loosen your grip and relinquish control bc your inability to do so is keeping God from being able to work in the areas of your life where you would like to see more progress and abundance.
resisting to relinquish control stems from you needing a sense of safety, fear & anxiety, either due to environments or past experiences. (and this can pertain to life in general, relationships, parenting, career, and even your relationship w/ God.)
reflection prompt from the episode: "What areas of your life do you feel that you are resisting to relinquish control or may be too attached to outcomes or timelines?"
give yourself grace, be honest and then begin to invite God into this process to help you relinquish control, surrender and better trust in him.

do you ever feel like God shouldn't picked you for something?
do you think it would've been smarter for him to pick someone else bc the assignment/what he's called you to do just feels like alot at times?
well, you may not understand why God picked you for a certain task but you can trust that when he does call you to do something, it's bc he knows that you are not only capable but that you are also [THE ONE] he wants to do the job.
he'll sustain you, strengthen and equip you to do what he's called you to do, - so lean on him not your own strength or understanding.

To gaze means to fix the eyes in a steady intent look often with eagerness or studious attention.
It usually implies a sense of wonder, curiosity, admiration, or deep thought, and stands in contrast to a quick glance.
be honest with yourself, take an audit of what you've been focused on or gazing at bc in doing so - it'll help you to stop overly focusing on yourself, what's out of your control and what's not helping you to intentionally walk more boldly in your purpose and to be developed into the woman or man that God has called you to be.
fix your gaze. eliminate distractions and prioritize what matters most.

starve distraction.
be honest & take inventory of how you spend your time.
and then: choose one priority for this week that would help you accomplish a goal you'd like to accomplish in Q3.
not ten.
just one.
then give it your best attention trusting that small faithful steps often lead to lasting growth.
GO GET BACK IN YOUR BAG AND GO FINISH WHAT YOU STARTED! <3.

1 Thessalonians 4:11-12
we're halfway through the year already, so i want to encourage you to reflect on if there's anything that you said you'd do this year - that you've not yet done and then be honest with yourself about what's been keeping you from going forth and doing it?
this is a moment of honest self-reflection, accountability and forward movement, not condemnation.
give yourself grace, get into a business meeting with God and then allow him to instruct you on when/how to move forward so that you can be found doing the last thing God told you to do.

the feeling that you feel when you share what it is that God has called you to create, post, share etc. is 100% normal bc it shows that you care and you're passionate about what it is that you're sharing, especially if it's personal or vulnerable.
embrace it, trust that God is walking with you through this process - even if at times it feels uncomfortable.
God entrusted you with it, so believe that you're equipped and you have everything you need to go forth in your calling/purpose. no more stalling.
get out of your own way, you have an assignment and they're people that are waiting to hear and see what it is that you've been called to share, EVEN if it feels uncomfortable.
so lean not on your own understanding and go forth with the confidence you have in God.
you got this!

reflecting on the challenges i've faced over the years, surrender and trusting God as it pertains to my calling/purpose/creative journey.
the more you get out the way, the better you'll feel less pressure and like you're carrying weight that was only meant for God to carry, bc going forth in your purpose is not easy - it comes with many ebs and flows but there's also joy and a freedom attached to it once you stop resisting, take the lens off yourself, stop leaning on your own understanding and let God use you the way he intends to.
stay the course. :)
i encourage you to listen to this "with the perry's." podcast referenced in episode: https://youtu.be/efnfmoEaee0?si=KgjoTtmCfeq9KTVk
it was very helpful, insightful and they shared come very practical tips on how to navigate your calling with mercy and meekness.

"Blessed are the pure in heart, for they will see God." - Matthew 5:5-8
and to see God is to truly and lovingly see yourself and people, clearly.
but somewhere along the lines, we have lost the art of being able to genuinely relate and connect to one other with love and compassion.
what is a relationally self imposed heart?
To be "self-imposed relationally" means voluntarily setting personal limits, rules, or boundaries within relationships to manage fear, maintain autonomy, or protect oneself. These are constraints you create—rather than those enforced by others—such as keeping emotional distance, being overly focused on yourself/your feelings, limiting vulnerability, or creating rigid standards for interaction.
the only way to begin healing a self-imposed heart is to become self-aware of the condition of your heart, being honest and openly going to God with it.
you can't heal what deny or hide - so the first step is acknowledging.
the next step is inviting God into your heart so that he can heal you and the final step is surrendering.
the truth is, we were never meant to process or go through life alone but self-imposed hearts, create a barrier that doesn't allow love in nor does it make it easier for you love/connect to God, yourself or others.
so, i encourage you to meditate on: Psalm 139:23-24 and ask God to examine you & your heart.
bc what you don't want to do is be the reason and barrier that's standing in the way of receiving God's love + what he has for you.
my prayer is that, we stop being so self-imposed and we learn how God wants us to relate to Him, ourselves and others, so that we can then begin to have more fruitful relationships and stop bleeding on one another, bc we don't want to go to God in honesty about what's in hearts that needs to be healed.
it takes time, so give yourself grace as you are allowing God to continue to do what only he has the power to do.
With Love,
Gei'Yonne. <3.
