Groen Van Prinsterer (1801-1876) made the observation that revolutions, rightly understood, are the manifestation of unbelief. They are not pursuits of justice and equality as they claim, but rather, the opposite. Christians should resist the revolution, and instead proclaim the absolute authority of Jesus Christ.
