In this conversation, Jen explains how the gut and brain microbiome are integrally connected to mental health and her experience specializing in helping people get off of addictive pharmaceutical drugs prescribed for depression, anxiety and psychosis using a holistic approach.

As more and more people are seeking solutions and alternatives from the medications that often cause side effects of the very conditions they are meant to treat, the exploration of clinical and spiritual-community led efforts to support people with variety of conditions with plant medicine has boomed in the United States. This has brought up so many ethical and safety concerns, some of which we touch upon in this podcast episode. 

How can people prepare for and integrate psychedelic plant medicine experiences (including psilocybin, ibogaine, iboga or ayahuasca)? What are the differences between taking larger doses versus microdosing? What is neuroplasticity and how does it effect one’s ability to create new habits and release old ones?

While many of these hot topics are in their early stages of research and deeper understanding, Jen shares an important perspective that moves out of the Western belief in mental conditions strictly being a result of chemical brain imbalances and considers the whole person and each person’s unique challenges and abilities to move past trauma and addiction.

In this fascinating podcast episode, Amber Lundeen shares her story of how she came to communicate with whales. In the beginning of the episode, she dives into her relationship to Kiska, a whale who was tragically held in captivity in an amusement park in Niagara Falls, Canada, until her passing in 2023. Learn more about Kiska’s story.

Amber talks about her communication with orcas and gray whales on the Oregon coast and beyond and how she experiences receiving information in the dream space and waking life. Her story is truly one of spiritual awakening. Deeper into the conversation Amber illuminates the connection of the whales to the unified field through the heart and their teaching to embody an intentional, higher frequency expression to create and serve in the world.

I was inspired to fly solo in today’s episode, where conversations on the relationship between the fire and water within our bodies, minds and spirits emerged. I discuss some of the qualities of fire from an oriental medicine perspective and bring through frequencies from streams of water that source from other water planets into the field, supporting nourishing and resourcing the water within.

The conversation evolves into my personal story in relation to the mystery of the feminine and masculine and how our relationship to these energy streams evolve as we grow older and mature from life experiences. I then share a story of experiencing the divine feminine last fall as a quality of the universal mother. The podcast ends with a contemplation on your relationship to water and to the feminine.
