Toxicity exists in most work environments, and the Hospitality Industry is no stranger on that list-
A solid owner will have input, but won’t be on site like that
☝🏽☝🏽☝🏽 a solid owner also respects their co-workers and lets them do their jobs.
You can’t just flat out tell guests the kitchen is a fuck off, so you have to do your best to improvise and diffuse potential situations. Which is fucking nonsense 😑.
Unless it’s absolutely necessary to act on something (co worker was unnecessarily rude, and I’m talkin’ REALLY rude, they put their hands on you, etc…) don’t get caught up in any soap operas: don’t worry about who’s always late, complaining, or half-assing. Only worry about you, and what you need to do.
Unless you start your own business there’s going to be something everywhere you go, but when the cons start out-weighing the pros it’s time to move on. Unless you get off on the drama. In which case go for what you know 🤷🏽♀️.
