In Acts 12:6, it says Peter was sleeping while he was in prison. How do you have so much peace that you can sleep in prison? In this message, we look at Philippians 4 and talk about how you can know the peace of God in any and every season. In Acts 12:5 it says that when Peter was in jail the church prayed earnestly for him. Can the same be said in our lives? Are we praying earnestly? We want to be a people who are marked by their desperation for God. In this message we talked a bit about prayer, but then opened up the microphone for people to pray. Mike continues our conversation on prayer by talking about the importance of listening to the Lord and then responding when He gives us direction.

In Acts 10 we see that Cornelius "prayed continually" to the Lord. Can the same be said of us? We have amazing access to God through Jesus, but are we following Jesus' invitation to pray to our Father in heaven pouring out our hearts before him? Praying that we would be people who "seek first the Kingdom of God" daily like Jesus told us to do in Matthew 6:33.

We look at the second part of Acts 9:31, they walked in the fear of the Lord and the comfort of the Holy Spirit.

Acts 9:31 says, "walking in the fear of the Lord and the comfort of the Holy Spirit, the church multiplied." What does it mean to walk in the fear of the Lord?

We look at the conversion of Saul in Acts 9 and the obedience of Ananias to go to Saul's house and pray for him. May we be filled with faith, knowing that Jesus can transform any life, and may we be obedient to go whenever Jesus tells us to go.
