Continuing in our series on discipleship to Jesus, we discover that true spiritual authority also means a life of submission, dependence, and surrender.

In this next installment of our series "The Heart & Life of a Disciple" we look at Matthew 9:35-38 and the call for followers of Jesus to live as compassionate healers in a broken and hurting world. But before we can extend this offering to others, we must first receive it from Christ ourselves.

In this week's passage, Matthew 9:14-17, we see that Jesus was turning the traditional view of discipleship on it's head, all in effort to do something totally new!
