If you had to describe who Jesus Christ is in his innermost being, how would you describe him? While we might use lots of words, and many would be accurate, Jesus describes himself like this - "I am gentle and humble in heart." This makes Jesus utterly different, and it is why all people should come to him.

Sin is rebellion against God and justice demands that it must be punished. In Genesis 3 we see God subject the creation to frustration through a series of curses. Yet at the same time we see the seed of God's redemption plan being revealed. God is so good that even his curses bring blessings.

If we trace every danger, every sadness, every difficulty back - we end up in a garden with two trees at the centre.

Marriage is key part of God's plan to make his creation flourish. While not every person will marry (nor should they), every person will be be affected by the quality of the marriages that surround them. Marriages that operate according to the creator's plan make humankind thrive.

Work is part of life, but would we be better off without it? Not according to the Bible! In Genesis 2 we see that work is essential to human life. In our work we get to reflect something of who God is, and through our work we can bring about a more flourishing world.
